ABOUT THE AUTHOR'S

Tremaine and Cierra Thompson are the loving parents of Simeon Isiah Thompson, a vibrant, courageous, and compassionate child who lived with sickle cell disease. In February 2025, Simeon transitioned to the spiritual world, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and inspiration. As a way to honor his dreams and keep his spirit alive, Tremaine and Cierra authored Simeon the Sickle Cell Hero—a tribute to their son's life, dreams, and heroic journey.

Simeon always dreamed of becoming a doctor and writing a book. Through this non-fiction children's story, his parents bring his vision to life. With powerful storytelling, they celebrate his resilience during pain crises, his empathetic heart, and his determination to bring joy and comfort to others—even in his own moments of struggle. The Thompsons continue to advocate for sickle cell awareness, aiming to uplift other families navigating similar challenges
